Crochet a Pencilcase
This one is really - just for fun ..... although, practical as well. Three granny squares are joined with slip stitch, treble crochet worked around to bring it to the size of the zip. A cotton lining was made for the inside and a charm attached to the zipper handle. Measurements are 10cm x 25cm.
Hi Kim :) ..... thanks for the nice comment. I think these pencilcases might be breeding now .... there's another one in turquoise blue, in the bottom draw.
Thankyou for the lovely comments :) To answer your question,... no, I don't use a pattern for most of the crochet work - just do stitches to fit a design that I may have in mind. This pencilcase is very simple - using just 3 squares, stitched together, with treble crochet edges. Make 2 of these and join them together. Inserting the zip into the lining was the fiddly part for me, but if you can sew a little, it helps.... best wishes ....Shirley A
That is so stinkin' cute! LOVE! You do such beautiful work : )

this is so pretty! do you have a pattern you use, or is it all done as you go? I love the colors you use in your beautiful crochet work.
