Crochet a Pencilcase
This one is really - just for fun ..... although, practical as well. Three granny squares are joined with slip stitch, treble crochet worked around to bring it to the size of the zip. A cotton lining was made for the inside and a charm attached to the zipper handle. Measurements are 10cm x 25cm.
That is so stinkin' cute! LOVE! You do such beautiful work : )
ReplyDeleteHi Kim :) ..... thanks for the nice comment.
ReplyDeleteI think these pencilcases might be breeding now .... there's another one in turquoise blue, in the bottom draw.
this is so pretty! do you have a pattern you use, or is it all done as you go? I love the colors you use in your beautiful crochet work.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for the lovely comments :) To answer your question,... no, I don't use a pattern for most of the crochet work - just do stitches to fit a design that I may have in mind. This pencilcase is very simple - using just 3 squares, stitched together, with treble crochet edges. Make 2 of these and join them together. Inserting the zip into the lining was the fiddly part for me, but if you can sew a little, it helps....
